Selon Kristol, si les sondages deviennent de plus en plus favorables à Obama, il se peut que Bush bombarde l'Iran avant novembre. Dans le cas contraire, il laissera McCain décider. Comme quoi, McCain est bien sur la ligne de l'administration Bush concernant l'Iran.

On Fox News Sunday this morning, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol said that President Bush is more likely to attack Iran if he believes Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) is going to be elected.

However, “if the president thought John McCain was going to be the next president, he would think it more appropriate to let the next president make that decision than do it on his way out,” Kristol said, reinforcing the fact that McCain is offering a third Bush term on Iran.

De plus McCain a récemment parlé de 3eme guerre mondiale, tout comme Bush en octobre dernier, lorsqu'il a évoqué un éventuel conflit avec l'Iran.

En 2006 déjà, McCain avait dit que nous étions au début d'une 3ème guerre mondiale.
